In a word? Awesome.

Peter Jackson will be shedding a tear that he doesn't make films like this anymore. It was crude in all the right ways but with an understated slickness holding it together. The camera work was energetic without being over indulgent, the acting was over the top, but that's exactly where it should have been. So good.

I want to watch it again, like right now, but I'll probably have to wait for the final. Sigh.

I wouldn't say this was a scary film (would have helped a lot being shot in the dark), but it was pretty inventive and well put together. I especially liked the use of the prop. The old trick of seeing things in the mirror only for them not to be there when you turn around was done really well!

An interesting take on a fantasy adventure. Liked the fantasy, could have done with a bit more adventure though. And a bit less racism (although it did suit the character it needed a payoff which it didn't get). It was fun and got some good laughs here and there.

I had no idea what was going on in this film. Was the guy trying to be Japanese to be cool? Or win the girl? I don't know. Suffered technically which didn't help.

One Percent started off with a hiss and a roar and looked like it was going to be a raging action film, but then quickly lost momentum. It did indeed feel a bit slapdash.
