Opens with a man strapped to a chair awaiting a "cure for his madness" from a nasty looking doctor and evil woman.

Nice initial setting but I would have loved for there to be more intimate shots in this first sequence to show more of the emotion of the lead. We were often stuck in a wide 3-shot which, for me, took me out of the action. Not a bad take on the genre but the ending was largely unsatisfying.

This film had a great start, although I'm guessing based on the DQ you guys may have been running out of time and had to cut it short? gutted.

This film was clearly unfinished - but I would like to point out that there were some fantastic parts and some huge potential to this film.
I really liked the german character (Reminded me of The Hostel) at the beginning - although this whole scene needed more close ups of the performances, so the intensity was a bit lost. Still cinematic, well shot.
Apart from the disjointed storyline, there was a great look with the characters at the end - well done on the costumes!

With the best art direction I have seen in the competition, and some compelling performances, it was truly unfortunate that the story was fairly disjointed.

The ending really carries no weight for me, as we never learned who this character was and never had anything invested in them, so seeing them get killed by a bunch of bush people doesn’t really bother me as an audience member. I neither feel any sympathy nor comedy in the moment, as the main character’s lines were mostly restricted to “I’m not supposed to be here, I can explain”, while the opening half of the story focussed too much on the secondary characters.

The art direction in this film is stellar.

I loved the ending with the tribal (?) woman and her army, I would have liked to have seen more of this. The beginning of the story was a little confusing, I wasn't 100% sure what was happening, but damn, it did look good.

As for your title, "Temperal Punishment" seems kind of lazy- and you spelled 'Temporal' wrong :(
