So, a fish returns to murder its owner who flushed it a few days ago. However, life is pretty lonely for this fish.

Sort of a mockumentary in parts? Make-up was good. Had a sweet ending. Overall, a bit tedious though especially during the montage of getting into weird situations. I think more could have been made about the fish terrorising the owner rather than killing them off early which might have made a more engaging story line.

While admittedly a bit on the cheese side, I like the way that you approached this. Taking "fish out of water" both figuratively and literally was a fun way to tell the story.

Unfortunately there was a technical issue with audio syncing - it was a bit distracting at times.

The costuming was fun - I enjoyed the use of cupcake wrappers as fins. I think you approached your theme well - had you focused on the Fish's revenge, you would have slipped into Monster Movie instead :)

An interesting story with some great make-up artistry.

Wonderful make up work here, and a good performance from the lead. I loved the beginning with her getting revenge on the guy who flushed her.

Part of me thinks that was the route you should have gone, made a straight up horror comedy about a fish slaughtering its owner.

As it stands, it was a little difficult to invest in a story about a fish who feels like they don't belong, only to finally arrive at the conclusion that she should just go into the ocean- doesn't seem like a particularly hard decision to come to, and a little expected. If I were a fish, it would be the first thing I would try.

Next year I would suggest you do a story that's a bit more complex.

As for your title, "Fish You Were Here" is a pretty sweet pun.
