Lovely use of the sunlight and sunsets to capture some beautiful imagery.
Be careful of bland white rooms - they can really bring down the look of a film. The best way to handle a room like that is with high contrast directional lighting or interesting art direction.
The performances were quite hammy and there was a lot of expositional dialogue.
The film felt way too long for me and dragged quite a lot. The story was a little unclear.
Also I feel that if you only have teen actors it's best to write only teen roles, or if you are going to have actors younger than the roles would dictate then make it part of your style. Remember, even school teams can cast adults!
There were some moments of really great cinematography. Beautiful macro shot of the sand, worked really well.
Clear, easy to understand story line and awesome cinematography.
Very snickety acting by all the actors, love the name and would definitely buy a movie ticket to see them
I very liked the different uses of shots in the film. I enjoyed the young people leading the roles with no adults, was a change from all other films screened on day.
Good Movie! Will recommend to anyone wanting to watch a movie with good cinematography.
awesome macro shot of iris + amazing camera work
Great acting from the teenagers despite the lack of sleep they must have had. The meaning of the movie title "Sempiternal" ties in very well with the story line. Great cinematography and a great variety of different shots. INTENSE breaking of the fourth wall!!!
I would definitely buy a ticket to this film!
Great film by a couple of young people. Great to see some of the young adults get involved in the competition.
Loved the intro! So lively, also great cinematography including the use of the macro and time laps. Loved how they constructed the movie around the main character.
Good supporting role from the antagonists, Great acting!
Great acting. Was good to see people their age do such a good job!
Some really nice shots of Sunset and good lighting.
Cool macro shot of the sand :)
Brilliant. What a talented bunch and an amazing effort.
Amazing editing and camera work. But there was way too much swag in there... Really good job. Keep it up guys!
good and creative film. Kept me on the edge of my seat~
Cinematography was very impressive, lighting and editing especially. Particularly the phone booth scene and sequence of shots showing the light ball.
Storyline was well done, simple yet effective. Not too complex and not too basic, conveyed a message perfect for the short film structure.
Honestly got chills during the final shot where "Morgan" breaks the fourth wall, very well done and a good way to finish the film, made me immediately re watch to pick up on themes in the storyline that I missed first watch.
Great film guys really impressive especially considering your age!
Okay, this is just ridiculous.
I don't like having to point this out, but most of the reviews here are "10 out of 10 only posted review" reviews - clearly faked reviews that boost the score to the top of the charts.
16 out of the 17 reviews here rate it four stars or higher, and they all have only one posted review. That's not just chance.
It's very sad rating your own film to this extent especially when the few real reviews I see here rate it so low in contrast. We all work hard making these films and seeing that this one is top of the charts frustrates me.
Although it doesn't have any real consequences, it's still not cool guys.
Bullshit downvote in an effort to counter the bullshit upvotes.
