Well done for giving this genre a go, many teams are terrified of it. The backing tracks were very well recorded and the camera work and acting was great, I felt as if the plot didn't really exist, and some of the singing was... well. Some of the characters were quirky, which was interesting. Nice work.

Big pat on the back for really getting stuck in and giving this genre a go. Obviously you didn't have access to the pro recording gear that some teams may have, but the fact that 90% of your film was sung does get my respect. Basically the head tenant calls a meeting to try and sort out some major flat issues, which get responses of the musical variety. I think there were three key things to this short that would have improved it; firstly, some dynamic action by having actors/camera movement rather than sitting around. Secondly, moving away from your flat as a shooting location, or if you do shoot in your flat then you need to add some eye catching visuals to make it stand out. Third, towards the end when you mixed all the songs together they did not seem to harmonise so perhaps stick to one at a time (although if that had come together it would have been great).

Frankly, this genre is scary. The skill required to really nail a musical film is way above a lot of teams. Nonetheless, i was impressed with the effort. I don't know whether the soundtracks were recorded by your team or not but if they were, excellent job with them. On the other hand, the filming needed to be more interesting, the plot didn't really seem to exist and the singing was more or less out of tune. The lyrics were clever though and there were some amusing moments :) Good effort.

I really enjoyed this, thought the team did a great job. Some catchy songs and actors came across really likeable. a hard genre to tackle and they did a great effort. had the audience laughing which is always a good sign. well done :-)

That is an impressive quantity of vinyl. As others have mentioned, it would have benefited from a stronger conflict-and-resolution component to give the storyline a lift, with more happening than just sitting in one location (sorry). I was reminded of Flight of the Concords in terms of the style you took. You have to be careful with unauthorised copyright and logos appearing in your film (V was the beverage sponsor, not Coke). You had a decent go at the genre and stuck to it throughout so well done on that front.
