This was an interesting film.
First of it looked really good and the little boxman concept was cool. The story itself was fairly simple and but the shift at the end seemed off to me, who was the guy killing him? was he the actual killer and the boxman just goes around with him, or is the boxman an omen for death. Overall nicely shot, but limited in the writing department, also writing the compulsory dialogue on a card is the worst example of shoe horning in elements. There's obviously a lot of technical skill in this team and I look forward to seeing what they produce in the future.
A well shot and well cut film, production values were comparatively high, this was definitely helped by the use of a slider. I liked the plot and the story was set up well. I believe a horror film should be frightening, which difficult to achieve - it's much easier to make a film funny. While he was a novel idea I did not find the box man frightening, and though the twist that the protagonist turned out to be the killer was clever, I feel it was poorly executed and left the audience confused. Tying the unusual film name in at the end was a nice touch.
I liked this film. I thought that the use of a cardboard killer was clever and cute, I have to admit that I was a little confused as to how he wasn't the guy who died but as a horror it delivered the answer well.
Obviously being a horror you can argue not a lot of character development can happen but there was enough for the story.
I got lost here. Can anyone offer any help?
A murderous box, a shadowy killer (you killed my brother?) and then we're on the sofa watching the tube? What the hells going on?
interesting film, enjoyed the box guy. easy to watch, hard to understand at the end with the other guy getting killed
Interesting mix here. Very high production standards - some really excellent images produced, and it had really good sound design. Scoring was very effective. It definitely adhered to the genre. However, the story never really flew. It got quite convoluted which didn't help, leaving a lot of the audience thoroughly confused, but I also felt there was insufficient character motivation and depth to the story for us to really engage with this film. This unfortunately meant that we did not find the film compelling. Sorry - a lot of potential here, but it needed a much more solid concept, and it needed to be communicated more clearly. No matter how fantastic the story you write is, the audience has to be able to understand it.
One of the most beautifully filmed films of the night. High production standards would love to see what else this crew has made. The story got a little lost.
i think the camara work was amazing for this film, kudos to the camara guy, i got confused with the story line but i thought the box was really fun character but in the end i just thought nothing made sense cause in general nothing makes sense when your crazy killer???? lol but yeah sshot well, good lighting and looks clean/clear cuts and yeah kudos
This film was visually amazing but i felt it lacked a storyline and didn't really understand it.. i felt with a bit more time this team could produce something fantastic, would like to see them again next year.
Plenty of shots in this film. Looked great. Horror lighting was good. Certainly a film worthy of a second viewing and the ending provided many discussions afterwards. The random dude at the end was shit but I liked it and my points come from the idea and shot selection.
