Great wee film. Very entertaining and fast moving. The child actor had great presence and played the gangster part very well. Good use of music also
I thought the story line was creative and quite funny, very entertaining film, my only criticism is that I didn't feel like it was a musical.
excellent idea and an awesome opening monologue. kids in grown up situations can always be hilarious, only wish that the lip syncing could have been better. editing was okay but a bit jumpy and the music wasn't totally consistent throughout, though the individual songs were cool. not really a musical but who cares. pretty fun. :)
Started very nicely and with some good humour, but as the lip synching was lost and you veered into cliché, it faded from the middle. However, some good laughs along the way and must have been fun to do.
RARO has been banned by the government. However, an illegal trade of the sugary powder is thriving thanks to the efforts of one young man.
This is a quirky, fun idea that was well acted by the young lead. However it took long time for the musical side of things to really get going and as such the music and lyrics didn’t really drive the story but were instead set pieces on their own. As mentioned the sync was out in places (easy to do in 48HR musicals) but it didn’t detract at all from the audience’s enjoyment factor. Loved the boot/trunk shot.
Musicals are hard – you did a great job and it seemed you had a blast.
Hilarious satire of the drug trade that kind of ran out of steam a little about two thirds of the way through: I would have liked to see Vic in more danger. Loved the art direction.
I loved the idea for this film. The concept is great and funny even to think about. The filmography was good but I think it stopped short of a musical... but thats why its the hardest genre. But again major props for the concept and the effort put in. Musical is no easy genre and you did well!
Amazing intro. Loved it. Seems you had some interlacing artifacts in the film, which was a shame. Love the picture of the fire place. Audio is a bit rough. Great writing. Laughs at packing up the bag with prank stuff. Great song strutting down the street, though hard to understand. Great music throughout. Big lols at the reveal of what RARO was. Great acting by the boy. Great work with a tough genre. Great singing by the female. Funny and great ending. A bit of a discrepancy between VFX and not so tight cinematography. Room to grow next year.
Watch out for including copyrighted brands and logos (Adidas, Panadol. and even the Raro itself). The sound needed some work and as already mentioned the songs didn't really integrate with the story and progress it. You gave it a good go and the concept had merit.
