Had a great laugh. Much funner than Superhero Movie!!
Totally biased because I helped out quite a lot on this film. Nonetheless, we're all pretty proud of it as abject first timers to the comp. We ran out of time so some of the sound editing could have been a lot better, but overall I think we got pretty close to the script idea the group came up with on Friday night. Never laughed so much in 48 hrs and enjoyed the heat tonight a lot so was a worthwhile experience even if it doesn't get anywhere.
storyline was good but it could have been pulled off better. the barks were good
I liked it. It had good effects and the idea of it was interesting but I think the acting and camera quality let it down slightly. Overall good effort. Best special effects of heat 4.
this one didn't exactly hit home with me. I didn't like the performance of the dogboy not heroic enough at all, i was pulling for bobby to win. Good points were i liked the original way of incorparating bobby into being an ex-bully by him becoming even worse and there were some very funny bits at the beginning with the mugging scene.
This film left me in deep regret for Superhero Movies that were once great, but were smashed by this piece of work. In other words, I don't think that there has been any other film that has destroyed the future success of such a genre through cliche storyline, chroma key slip-ups and sound variations.
Though that first paragraph was full of negativity, I am willing to help through the following advice.
1. Chroma Key: When you shoot your actor/object in front of a green screen, make sure the lighting is adjusted to full blast to make sure that there isn't any shadows or other problems with what is on the screen. Now you know not to wear Green in front of Green, unless you wanted too... :D But one other thing is to use a High-Quality Camera, (HD is PERFECT :D) so that there is no Green-particles when you add the Chroma Key Footage to the background you desire.
2. Story: I was just gob-smacked that you used the "Bitten-to-be-Superhero" story to portray the character, you might know that this has been done many times with Spider-Man and many other films. Also, the "Animals-being-Superheros" Story which is a hard one to keep away from. But if you run out of ideas, then use this for next year's film: A Dragon-Slaying Potato XD
Best of Luck :D
I'm struggling for what to say ... boy turns into dog, so does another boy. They bark at each other. Some of the street shots were interesting in terms of the backgrounds and application of the grainy film quality - LA ghetto style right here in Wellywood.
I thought this was the funniest film of the heat. Looks like it was a blast to make. The fun showed through in the film. As a short film, well, not so great there, but still fun to watch.
You guys did a great job with the resources you had especially as you were amateurs. I would have loved to help out but i couldn't coz of production :/
it is a really nice movie, i enjoyed to watch it :D gut gemacht.
ummm i like some parts like some shots were pretty gud and some amazed me but the storyline was too cliche for me. i wasnt sure of the acting if it was meant to be a serious action or comedy action so i didnt know if the acting was gud or not. one advise get better main roles, like the guy max collet i think he was gud, the 2 muggers were pretty gud. the wall climbs was stupid coz u can hear the reverse noice. next time get a main role who can actually do some action or get a stunt double. and yea i hated the main character he was trying too hard. cheers.
i hated this film sorry guys too cheesy and too cliche.
complete rubbish this is nothing compared to other short films. most of the reviewers are probably friends.
aiite i liked the idea but abit too cliche. it was fun to watch had great laughs. u guys needed to fix that wall climb coz u can hear the reverse sounds. great shots. my fav part was probably the max and kayla scene it was awsome. gud luk in the future guys.
Congrtulations guys. You did a fantastic job with the time, ability and resources you had. I think you made a really fantastic film. (:
